WCIHF offering three scholarship programs for 2010-2011
West Central Iowa Healthcare Foundation Scholarships
The West Central Iowa Healthcare Foundation has scholarships available for area students pursuing a career in a health-related field. The student could be an upcoming high school graduate or a mid-career professional who is seeking additional training. All students attending school at IKM Manning or Coon Rapids; students from the communities of Manning, Manilla, Irwin, Gray, Dedham, Halbur, Templeton, and Coon Rapids; or students who are employed or whose family member is employed by the Manning Regional Healthcare Center or Manning Family Healthcare Clinic are eligible to compete. Scholarship amounts range annually from $500-$2500 depending upon number and need of applications. Please download the complete scholarship application for more information.

Mary Meiners Memorial
Nursing Scholarship
This scholarship is in honor of Mary Meiners who was the Assistant Director of Nursing at the Manning Regional Healthcare Center and gave over 24 years of service to our hospital & community. Her husband, Duane Meiners along with her family are the gracious sponsors of this scholarship. The purpose of this scholarship is to recognize and award the efforts of those planning to pursue a career in the field of nursing or to further their education in nursing. Applicants for this scholarship, must have a residence within 15 miles of the Manning Regional Healthcare Center or students who are employed or whose family members are employed by the Manning Regional Healthcare Center or the Manning Family Healthcare Clinic. Mary Jo Farr Memorial
Scholarship
This scholarship is in honor of Mary Jo Farr, who was a long time resident of the Manning Plaza. This scholarship is generously given in her honor by Mike & Sherry Wolver, Mary Jo's son & daughter-in-law. This scholarship is available to Manning Plaza employees or their family members. Applicants for this scholarship must be pursuing a career in a healthcare related field. Scholarship amounts range from $275-$500 depending upon the number and need of applicants selected. Application Time Frames
The Scholarship application period opens on February 1, 2010. Please note that scholarship applications for all three scholarships must be received at the Foundation office by March 31, 2010. Students will be notified after April 30, 2010 of awards.
